The
Central Office of the QCHS Alumni Association, Inc., located at the southwest corner of the Quezon City
High School campus, was built for the purpose of achieving the association's
goal of developing goodwill among the members and perpetuating friendship, memories and traditions growing out of the Alma
Mater.
Groundbreaking ceremonies for the alumni
center were held on September 2, 1996 with members of the Board of Trustees led by then chairman and president Bayani V. Hipol,
'69. Two months later, on November 30, the building was inaugurated with then Q.C. Mayor Ismael Mathay as guest of honor.
On February 27, 1997, turnover/unveiling rites were held with then Cong. Feliciano Belmonte cutting the ceremonial ribbon.

barangay officials.
However, in the summer of 1997, an
early morning fire that started at the adjacent building gutted portion of the newly-built center. It was rehabilitated in
2001during the presidency of Cesar L. Sianghio, '51, with the assistance of Mayor Mathay and his son, Chuck Mathay III. It
was again inaugurated and blessed with the latter as principal sponsor
T he two-storey building with a total floor area of 160 square meters was used in the meantime by the Technology and
Livelihood Education students and service area for the school's feeding program. It was only in August of 2005 when the center
was finally used by the association as beehive for all alumni activities. It now serves not only as a venue for batch meetings
but also as powerhouse where ideas are hatched and exchanged

After the start of construction, alumni from different batches have
pooled resources to start and keep the office in operation. Donations poured in from alumni members like Rodolfo Robles, '67,
Pete Murao, '75, Yolanda Olivar-Platon, '68, Lalie Dua-Garcia, '57, Romy Domingo, '71, Tess Murao, '81, Ruby Tayag, '74, Ma.
Luisa Menina, '75, Cristina Marimat-Basuel, '69, Bhong Yumul, '80, Nitz Bicerra, '66, Imelda Casaņada-Macaraig, '67, Jun Veloso,
'68, Daisy B. Daza, '57, Mon Salas, '77, Joan Daza-Precilla, '68, Jojie San Pablo, '77, Julie Balajadia, '73, Renato Dumlao,
'68, and Batch '81.
